Hello...
I'm new to this tribe and certainly grateful for the wealth of knowledge it's already offered me...thanks!
My wife and I have just recently been blessed with a wonderful opportunity to traverse the expanses of hyperspace, yet we need to find some clarification before she can blast off... She is currently breastfeeding our beautiful 6-month old daughter and will be continuing to do so for quite some time... Are there any psychonaut mama's out there who have launched while still breastfeeding? Is there any research showing negative effects for mama and infant after doing so? etc. etc. Any insight into this topic would be greatly appreciated, as she is itchin' to give it a try...
thanks...

Re: dmt and breastfeeding...
Fri, July 17, 2009 - 10:52 AMHey there.
What I can tell you is that DMT is virtually non toxic and that it de-aminates (is broken down by endogenous enzymes) in 30 seconds or less.
Studies have shown that a moderate dose leaves no detectable trace. Sorry, I don't have any I can point you to at this point. But I'm sure you can corroborate this statement if you spend some time searching and reading.
Her psyche will be affected... I'd say in a positive way...
This is not a decision anyone could help you with, I'd recon. Completely personal. If you have doubts, then don't go there... yet.

Re: dmt and breastfeeding...
Sun, July 19, 2009 - 5:14 PMMy feeling is that anything that mama ingests or smokes is passed on the the littles. I would not give someone drugs w/o their knowledge or consent, and dmt, like anything else, is something one has to make the conscious, informed choice to take on their own. Although I have seen no evidence (mine are all nearly grown and not bf) to say they'd get the same effect, I would still exercise moderation. -

Tue, July 21, 2009 - 10:52 AMDMT, was not, is not, NOR will ever be intended for HUMAN CONSUMPTION. You have to make that determination for yourself, original poster/posterette. In other words, are you HUMAN? -

The fact that it exists in everyone's nervous system would seem to run counter to your claim!

Tue, July 28, 2009 - 4:55 AMEinstein, Mark, God... LOL! You really need to quit trying to be so damn cute. It's getting annoying. Changing your name and avatar all the time isn't fooling anyone. If you are not here to contribute sensibly, then I suggest you go do your thing elsewhere. Do we have an understanding?

Re: dmt and breastfeeding...
Tue, July 21, 2009 - 1:03 PMI have been watching this thread because I was intersted to see what people had to say, and was not even sure where I stood. I guess my question would be if your wife has experiemented with anything like this before? It's all up to the mommy and the connection she feels to the whole idea. Her gut will tell her what to do, and it seems to me, that if you are questioning it, then you shouldn't do it. Good Luck!
