so i'm visiting sedona arizona.. and i want to go out and catch a B. alvarius tonight. i've been here for about 4 days and tonight is my last night in the area. there hasn't been any rain while i've been here (i've read that they're easiest to find at night after summer rainfall when they're out breeding)
so what i'm wondering is.. can anybody tell me:
is it too early to be able to find one?
is sedona too far north to find one? (some sources say anyplace south of the grand canyon, but the wikipedia distribution map looks like it starts farther south)
should i just go out and wander around oak creek for the fuck of it and see for myself?
i assume the ethnobotanical websites that sell them catch them in the wild (i understand they're quite difficult to breed in captivity). and i dont want to pay somebody to go out and have the fun for me. plus it just feels wrong to buy a pet from an herb vendor and have it airmailed to you.
any tips would be much appreciated

I'd say so, and I'm glad you think so as well.
I've never "milked" a toad, but if I would, I'd do it with the utmost care and respect.
